Dar stock exchange turnover drop by 30 pc

The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) recorded a total turnover of 1,364.17 mln from 239,948 shares traded in 71 deals compared to the previous session which recorded aturnover of TZS 1,991.53 mln from 205,318 shares traded in 65 deals.
 CRDB counter had 16,331 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 270 per share in 16 deals. DCB counter had 475 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 430 per share in 6 deals.
 DSE counter had 22,000 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 1,200 per share in 6 deals.
 NMB counter had 6,590 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 2,480 per share in 3 deals. SWISSPORT counter had 1,000 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 6,370 per share in 2 deals.
 TBL counter had 93,600 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 13,000 per share in 24 deals. TCC counter had 200 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 11,700 per share in 1 deal.
 TOL Gases Limited counter had 92,990 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 800 per share in 5 deals. TPCC counter had 6,762 shares traded at weighted average price of TZS 2,500 per share in 8 deals.

Tanzania intra-SADC trade decline by 15 pc

Zambian President Edgar Lungu with Magufuli By Mnaku Mbani Tanzania’s intra-SADC trade declined by 15.5 percent to USD 1,697.3 million in 2015 from the amount recorded in preceding year. The Bank of Tanzania Economic Operations and annual report for the year ended in June 2015 published mid this month this development was attributed to a decrease in both exports and imports.

DSE all share index down

By Mnaku Mbani The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) All Shares Index (DSEI) closed at 2,273.06 yesterday, down by 18.60 per cent when compared with Wednesday. The fall of the DSEI, which calculate the performance of all locally listed and cross listed companies was a result of fall of some share prices including East African Breweries Limited which dropped by 3.39 per cent, KCB Limited by 3.70 per cent and NMG price which fell by 2.14 per cent.

It’s one of the items produced by Molocaho by Amorette , the furniture-manufacturing firm she recently founded. “This set was handcrafted from timber which was reclaimed from old cargo boats from the Indian Ocean along Tanzania’s coastline,” says the entrepreneur earnestly.
