By Mnaku Mbani

The Inter- bank Money market rate for Tanzania eased earlier this week after souring for many weeks as the banks liquidity seems to improve.
The banking were facing the liquidity shortages over the last three weeks which sent inter-bank rates up to the highest rate of 19 per cent.
However, according to the Bank of Tanzania, the rates has dropped to 17 per cent as of Tuesday and analysts believes that will continue to fall due to ongoing improvement of liquidity shortages pressure.

The last liquidity stress among commercial bank was experienced in July last year, whereby the rates went up to the highest level of 30 per cent.
